In spirit of the cinematic nature of the project, each song is accompanied with a short visual vignette. The visuals are to be released initially on social media and looped to the full song for YouTube. Thematically, the visual branding for the EP is tied to images of home-gardening and the caretaking of houseplants. This represents the themes of personal growth and tenderness throughout the project. This is the foundation to our vanity label and creative house, Homegrown, whose first release will be No Funeral. We welcome our fanbase to watch us grow, as our plants mirror our development. Providing an interactive feature as a way of introducing ourselves to new fans aims to preview our more multidisciplinary aspirations with the required growth while simultaneously demonstrating how syncable our music is.
At its core, No Funeral is an exhilarating project that allows Native Other to demonstrate the work that goes into a release. The momentum, metrics and insight gathered from the EP will be used for aiding the rollout for a string of four singles, starting with our psychedelic dance-pop hit When the Flowers Bloom. No Funeral is is planting the seeds for Native Other’s brand to blossom.
